Homemade Smokey Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Kangaroo Island garlic granules
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
Method
- Place all of the ingredients into a heavy-based saucepan and whisk together. Place over medium heat, bring to the boil, then reduce heat to a gentle simmer.
- Allow to simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes, to prevent the sauce from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
